THE NIGERIAN LEGAL PROVISION FOR MARRIAGE
Many people are unaware of the provision of the Nigerian law relating to weddings in a church.
The Nigerian law classifies marriage as either customary marriage or marriage under the act (matrimonial causes act CAP-M7 laws of the federation of Nigeria 2004). Marriage in a church either falls as customary or as marriage under the act depending on some factors.
